Masterclass Format

This VIRTUAL Masterclass will be delivered by IBICUS via ZOOM by a fully-trained leader. The timings are 09:00-13:30 UK time with a set-up / introductory meeting starting at 08:30 UK time.  Please note that IBICUS Masterclasses are not official IB PD workshops are any certificates issues do not count towards school authorisation and evaluation.

About the Masterclass

The aim of this Masterclass is to develop your understanding of the LP as a curricular and pedagogical tool based on the recent LP research report

You wil also explore the role of the LP as a learning space where students’ critical and analytical skills can develop, allowing them to witness their growth while supporting academic integrity

Teachers will gain advice on:

  • guiding your students to create and curate their LP
  • approaches to tasks and activities for the LP as well as reflections to support ownership of the LP and its process
  • scaffolding for revision and preparation for assessments
  • establishing consistency of use and investing in the usefulness of the LP

You will bring back to your school:

  • a deeper understanding of how the LP can support engagement and agency
  • a range of ideas and good practice to support teachers and students in collaborating towards creating a responsive experience of the LP
