Joe Holroyd

Dr Joe Holroyd is very much a lifelong learner, within the traditions of the IB (International Baccalaureate) programmes that he leads. He currently serves Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, a Swiss International Boarding School, as their Head of International.  With a doctorate in Business Administration, his academic background includes post-graduate studies and publications in education, philosophy, the arts and counselling psychology. Beginning his career in his home of the UK as a teacher of Literature, Joe has since worked as an IB programme leader in some of the larger and more progressive international schools in Asia. Building-on over a decade of such expertise, Joe Holroyd’s recent work at the Deputy Head level (Ecole des Roches, France & Prem International School, Thailand) has been focussed-upon developing student-centred learning in the more intimate boarding school context. Joe Holroyd has worked extensively with progressive universities around the world. This, together with his various longstanding roles with the IB and lifelong-learning instincts ensure that Joe Holroyd’s educational vision is informed by ongoing research.
