What to expect at an Ibicus workshop
All our workshops follow a similar timetable to the example below covering 2.5 days of tuition, finishing before lunch on Day 3. If you have transport planning difficulties, please email your workshop leader to see if there is flexibility in the timings. You are expected to attend all sessions to receive your IB recognised Certificate of Attendance.
- 2.5 days or 15 hours of expert tuition from world-class IB-trained workshop leaders
- morning and afternoon refreshments including snacks and hot and cold drinks
- 3-course buffet lunches on Day 1 and Day 2 of the workshop including vegetarian option(s)
- workshop materials and resources, either paper-based or shared digitally
- evening entertainment options and suggestions including local tours
- assistance with transportation to and from the workshop venue each day where appropriate (if staying in the selected workshop hotels)
- on-going support and assistance from the IBICUS team

What to bring
Your workshop leader will email you before the course telling you what to bring but this will always include your Subject Guide which is available via the Online Curriculum Centre (your Coordinator should have or be able to provide you with login details for this). You may find it useful to bring a laptop or other device (and any chargers and plug adaptors) as workbooks and resources are often shared electronically.
Meals and Refreshments
At all our events we normally include morning break with tea/coffee/soft drinks and snacks, a 3-course lunch and an afternoon break with tea/coffee/soft drinks and snacks. Dinner is also included for those staying on-site (and paying the additional accommodation charge) at our Wellington College event but is not included at our other events.
We try to meet any dietary requests e.g. vegetarian, halal, allergies, etc, but please include any dietary needs at the time of booking and make our Admin Manager (email@example.com) aware if you have any unusual dietary requests.
There is plenty of opportunity to socialise with other workshop participants and we always have a Help Desk with staff at hand to help with any queries or other issues. We try to arrange local tours and other events to allow you to see a bit of the surroundings outside of the workshop event in the evenings. This information is normally included in our downloadable INFORMATION PACK for each event.
Dress – casual or smart casual, respectful of local customs and practices.
Our school workshop venues are all non-smoking.
Parking – you will be advised where to park/ how to get there in our INFORMATION PACK which is downloadable from our website for each event.
Certificates of Attendance – sent by email in PDF format within two weeks of completion of the workshop (as long as all workshop fees are paid in full).
