A mother of three teenagers, I am an internationally recognized educational consultant and an experienced educator and leader in American, British, and IB schools, including the three IB programs—PYP, MYP, and DP—within and outside Egypt. I am an internationally certified trainer and consultant in Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction by Lynn Erickson and Lois Lanning. Moreover, I am a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization, where I serve in various roles, including examiner, workshop leader, school visit team member, reader, and program leader. Additionally, I am affiliated with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) as an ACE program site visitor and team member. Throughout my career, I have held several administrative roles, including School Principal, Head of School, Head of Academic and College Counseling, and Academic Quality Assurance, and, like every educator, I began as a teacher of Mathematics, Psychology, and TOK. I graduated from the American University in Cairo with a major in Pure Mathematics and minors in Psychology and Computer Science. I furthered my studies by completing a Diploma in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and later earned a master’s degree in Social Psychology and Counseling, specializing in adolescence. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Leadership & Learning from University College London (UCL).
