Remy Lamon

Born in 1972, Rémy Lamon graduated from the University of Geneva in Switzerland where he obtained a Master's Degree in Mandarin, History and Ancient Greek; he then moved to China to study at the People's University of China to begin research for a PhD on Chinese History. He is currently Head of IB in Geneva, Switzerland, in a bilingual French-English school that he was in charge to transform, from a pure francophone system, into a real international school. His international career has moved him to China and UK as well, for both DP and MYP. He is workshop leader for ATL, TOK, Languages B and Languages Ab Initio, especially French, German and Mandarin. Rémy has participated in three Olympic Games (Athens 2004, Torino 2006 and London 2012) as an interpreter in five different languages. He is a keen fencer and is passionate about Chinese history. He is also a talented musician, playing the oboe in Swiss orchestras and bands and has also taught composition in DP. Last but not least, he is also a pedagogical writer who wrote a book for French B in the MYP.
