Morag Makey has lived and worked in Australia, NZ, the UK, Switzerland, Spain and Mozambique, in a variety of teaching, counselling and leadership roles. She has co-ordinated the IB Diploma Programme, the Extended Essay and TOK since 2008 and has taught IB Psychology, English B and TOK. She is an accredited IB workshop leader and school visit team member and was also the co-ordinator of one of the pilot schools for the IBCC (CP). Morag has overseen the implementation of the first cohort of the IB in several different contexts and understands the challenges of new programmes and courses for both students and teachers. Her passion lies in supporting students, families and teachers to transition successfully through the IBDP and into post-school life. She has completed a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Coaching and provides IB mentoring, university counselling and wellbeing consultancy services to students, families and schools, alongside an online private therapy practice. Her interest lies in building connection and community through a range of SEL strategies to promote and support wellbeing in schools.
