Claudia Kennedy

Claudia’s first degree is an M.A. in Modern Languages from Queens’ College, Cambridge. She later completed a Master’s degree in Drama in Education at the University of Central England, Birmingham. She also holds a certification as a trainer in concept-based curriculum and instruction. Trained in acting and dance in Vienna, Claudia has been dancing, choreographing, acting and directing her way through life for… quite a long time. She was engaged in professional and community theatre and dance in Europe before moving overseas to teach. Claudia has taught all three IB programs in different schools, working as a performing arts teacher, Head of Creative Arts and MYP Coordinator. Claudia has been a member of the International Baccalaureate educator community since 1998, as a schools consultant, in-service trainer, MYP senior moderator, Diploma Theatre examiner, BQC reviewer and member of authorization and evaluation teams. She was actively involved in curriculum development for “MYP 2014” in the Arts, Individuals and Societies and the Personal Project and piloted materials as well as the new e-Assessments with teachers. Claudia is a highly experienced workshop leader and workshop leader trainer, having trained teachers in different subject disciplines from schools all around the world in MYP as well as concept based teaching and learning. Currently, Claudia is based in France. She works freelance as a workshop leader and schools consultant as well as an ISTA (International Schools Theatre Association) artist.
