Abeer Al Azzeh

Abeer currently serves as the  IBDP Coordinator, Head of Individuals and Societies, DP Business Management (BM) teacher in my home country, Jordan. My journey in the field of IB education began in 2006 when I started teaching BM. Two years later, I assumed the role of a subject examiner. I was entrusted with the position of MYP coordinator in 2015, where I led the consultation and authorization phases of the MYP program.  I believe this role paved the way for my involvement in the BM Curriculum Review from 2017-2020 in The Hague. As an active member of the team, I also contributed to the development of Teacher Support Materials (TSM) and the design of the Category Three workshop for the new guide, focused on Internal Assessment. Furthermore, I have participated in the BM content curation project, which took place from October 2022 to January 2023, and the Global Action Fund project, spanning from August 2023 to November 11, 2023. As a member of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network (IBEN), I am a workshop leader for both BM and the MYP and an examiner for BM. I have recently completed the training for the IBEN role Program Leader. This happened to coincide with my school’s evaluation visit for the DP which was a great enriching experience to my career path with the IB. Finally, I am a mother to two IB students who are both completing their university education.
