Workshop Format

This VIRTUAL workshop will be delivered via ZOOM by an IBO-trained workshop leader. The timings are 09:00-13:30 UK time each day with a pre-workshop set-up meeting starting at 08:30 UK time on Day 1.

About the workshop

RECOMMENDED FOR: School leaders, Middle Years Programme (MYP) coordinators and teachers in subject groups who want to deepen their understanding of the MYP assessment model.

You will explore the targets of MYP assessment strategies in your subject areas and apply your knowledge of the holistic MYP framework for teaching and learning to build successful assessment practices using your subject-specific objectives and assessment criteria. You will gain hands-on experience with the development of concept-driven assessments and consider new models of optional external assessment for the MYP.

  • To deepen understanding of how a common philosophy around MYP Lang & Lit assessment drives the delivery of the programme
  • To develop an understanding of the structures and principles of the Lang & Lit assessment framework
  • To discover how MYP Lang & Lit assessment is age-appropriate and differentiated
  • To engage in relevant, significant, challenging, inquiry-based environments that develop a deeper understanding of MYP Lang & Lit assessment practices. 
  • To share, discuss and develop MYP units and resources between participants 
About your booking

Once we have confirmed that the workshop will go ahead we will send you a confirmation email and an information pack which tells you everything that you need to know about joining your sessions. The links to join your sessions will be sent to you by email around 2 days before your sessions start.
