Tuition from workshop leaders, workshop materials and workbook, lunches and refreshments, admin support during the event.
When to arrive
If you live within easy travelling distance, then early arrival (from 0830) on Tuesday 30 October is fine; otherwise please aim to arrive in time for dinner on Monday 29 October.
Where to park
If you are arriving by car, please park at the North Front parking area (as directed from the main gate).
Where to stay
You can either stay in the school’s boarding houses on-site or you can choose to stay in a hotel at your own additional expense. Please see the WHERE TO STAY section of this booklet. If you wish to stay on-site at the College, please book when you book your workshop to avoid disappointment
Wi-Fi is available in most areas of the school so feel free to bring your own laptops/smart phones for use on site. Login details will be given on arrival. Computer suites will also be available to check emails if you are not bringing your own devices.
What to bring
It may be useful to bring your own laptop (and charger, and adaptor to UK 3-pin plug sockets). Any materials requested in advance by your workshop leader, including your subject guide (there will be no spare copies on site). Bring either electronic or paper versions as you prefer.
The campus is very large and spacious and there is also a gym so you may want to bring exercise gear and walking shoes.
Usually the end of October in the UK can be wet and windy, quite cold too. A rain jacket and/or compact umbrella might be useful as this is a large campus and you will need to walk between outdoor buildings.
Safety and security
Wellington College has strict codes of conduct and you may not bring guests, smoke or drink in College boarding houses. You must wear your IBICUS lanyard at all times while on College premises. Your possessions are your own responsibility; if you are staying on-site, you may wish to bring a padlock to secure any valuables in your College room as these do not have lockable doors (for purposes of student safety).
What to wear
We suggest casual clothing and a coat/jacket/umbrella for walking around the campus.
Meals are very well catered at Wellington College and we eat in the school dining hall. Meals are normally 3-course buffet style with a choice of 3 different main courses including at least one vegetarian option as well as soup and a salad bar.
If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know on your registration form or email firstname.lastname@example.org before the workshop starts.
If you are ill during the workshops, we will do our best to find you the appropriate care. Please ensure, before you travel to the workshop, that you have appropriate accident, health and medical insurance.
Our cancellation terms vary depending on whether your workshop has been confirmed or not and how far in advance you wish to cancel your place. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.
Certificates of Attendance on this approved IB PD course will be sent in PDF form after the event (as long as your course has been paid in full).
